Cutting Section → D-65 (Daylight White)

Technical Description:

  • Type: D65 is a standardized artificial light source that mimics natural daylight at noon.

  • Color Temperature: ~6500K

  • CRI (Color Rendering Index): ≥90

  • Light Appearance: Bright, bluish-white

Day-to-Day Application:

  • Used where fabric rolls are laid out, aligned, and cut.

  • Workers need true color visibility to ensure that patterns are correctly placed and color mismatches are avoided.

  • Even the smallest shading or print defect is easily noticeable under D65.

  • Shadows can distort perception, so D65 lighting is installed as uniform overhead panels to eliminate inconsistencies.

Sewing Section → TL-84 (Natural White)

Technical Description:

  • Type: TL-84 is a standard triphosphor fluorescent light, widely used in retail stores (especially in Europe and Asia).

  • Color Temperature: ~4000K

  • CRI: ~85

  • Light Appearance: Neutral white

 Day-to-Day Application:

  • This is where operators spend long hours stitching and assembling garments.

  • TL-84 provides balanced, neutral light — not too harsh (like D65) and not too warm (like U30).

  • Lighting is positioned above sewing lines and on individual sewing machines for precise work.

  • Ensures workers see the product under the same lighting conditions as retail environments.

Finishing Section → U-30 (Warm White)

Technical Description:

  • Type: U-30 is a warm fluorescent light used where color discrimination is less critical.

  • Color Temperature: ~3000K

  • CRI: ~80

  • Light Appearance: Warm, yellowish-white

Day-to-Day Application:

  • In the finishing section, garments are pressed, folded, labeled, and packed.

  • Workers deal with steam presses, ironing machines, and folding tables.

  • U-30 lighting is more comfortable and soft, helping reduce stress and improve visibility of garment folds or creases.

  • Installed as overhead warm LED panels or fluorescent tubes.

Quality Control (QC) Room → D-65 (High CRI >95)

 Technical Description:

  • Type: D65 with a very high CRI (>95) for accurate color reproduction

  • Color Temperature: ~6500K

  • CRI: >95

  • Light Appearance: Bright daylight, highly color-accurate

Day-to-Day Application:

  • Final stage before garments are packed or shipped.

  • Inspectors examine garments for:

    • Color consistency

    • Stitch accuracy

    • Defects (e.g., oil stains, fabric flaws, wrong trims)

  • High CRI D65 lighting is used in inspection booths or light tables to ensure what the QC team sees is true to daylight.

  • Multiple angle lights avoid shadows, allowing for 360° inspection.
